Gathering "Crash" Information
If you experience a "Crash" of DevWareX or any of our applications, you’ll need to use the “Manage” feature to find the source of the problem.
Select the “Start” button (bottom-left), right-click on “Computer”, and select “Manage”.
The “Computer Management” Dialog appears.
Expand “Event Viewer”, then “Windows Logs”, then select “Application”.
This takes a while to load, but eventually you see the output.
Under the “Level” column, look for “Error” with a “Source” of “Application Error”.
Find the entry for "DevWareX.exe" or the name of the application by selecting each one and reviewing the info in the “General” tab.
When you find the entry, right-click it and select “Copy -> Copy Details as Text”.
Email that to "DEMO_SW@onsemi.com".
Disabling Plugins To Prevent Crashes
Sometimes the source of the DevWareX crash is one of the plugins. The bin\PluginManager.exe app can be used to disable some or all of the Plugins to prevent crashes.
Hello,
Unfortunately the emails seem to bounce back in my case.
I downloaded and installed the most up to date DevWareX to grab image from a sensor headboard which is wired to the DEMO3X board.
Case 1: If the demo board is not wired to the computer, the software start properly.
Case 2: If the demo board is wired to the computer, the program crash at start or when running sensor probing.
Seems to be related to ucrtbase.DLL. Is it possible that this library changed from the one the software was compiled against ?
Windows log below.
Best regards,
Matthias Huser
