Introduction

The ON Semiconductor AVStream Switch tool is used to temporarily cause a demo board to be identified as an AVStream device. Once the USB cable is removed and reattached the demo board will again be identified as a USB device.

Usage

The AVStream Switch application is launched through the "start" button:

All Programs – Aptina Imaging – Tools – AVStream Driver Switch
Simply follow the instructions presented by the application.

Driver Installation

If the AVStream driver has not yet been installed, the Hardware Wizard will appear to lead you through the process of installing the required AVStream driver. Please follow the instructions in the USB Driver User Guide, but replace the USB INF file name with the driver starting with "AVS".

Note: These instructions are only needed for the XP operating system since Vista and Windows 7 can be configured to automatically check for and download the newest drivers.
