Introduction

This document describes the folder configuration and naming convention of the Aptina driversDevWareX USB drivers.

Note; Windows8 has special installation steps that must be performed - make sure you review them!
Links can be found under "Driver Installation".

Demo2X Note

For Win10 support of Demo2X, use the driver instructions for "Windows7_64 / Demo2X".

You will most likely need to manually load the driver; use the Windows 7 USB Driver Guide and follow the instructions under "Manual Installation of the USB Driver".

Drivers Folder Configuration

All Aptina drivers are located in subfolders under C:\Aptina Imaging\drivers.

The subfolders are identified with their Operating System (OS) and OS size. Three The OSs supported are supported (XP, Vista, and Windows 7), listed, each with an OS size of 32-bit and/or 64-bit.

The following table identifies the available drivers and the names of the .inf file (which is used during the driver installation process).

Driver Installation

For instructions on how to install a USB driver, refer to the guide for your supported OS;
USB XP Driver User Guide or , USB Windows7 Driver User Guide for your given OS. 

Refer to the AVStream Switch User Guide for instructions on how to enable a Demo2X board to be a UVC device. Demo3 UVC support is available but not currently distributed.  Please contact demokits@aptina.com for more information.

XP and Windows7 Driver Naming Conventions

The Windows7 drivers (except with XP) follow a naming convention; if a driver combination isn't present it isn't supported.

The naming convention is aaabbcc., where:*

aaa = <driver type>: AVS = AVStream, USB = Demo2X, APT = Demo3
